New York Rep.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed Friday she is taking the time to tend to her mental health following the January 6 Capitol insurrection.
According to
PEOPLE, the 31-year-old Congresswoman spoke on the LatinoUSA podcast and opened up about being in therapy to cope with the trauma she experienced during the dreadful Capitol riots.
“You have this transition period of escalating violence, which really culminated on the 6th, for which was an extraordinarily traumatizing event that’s not really being discussed,” she said.

After shouting “Hey, Alexandria!” twice to get Ocasio-Cortez s attention, Greene reportedly continued.
“You don’t care about the American people,” Greene shouted, the
Post originally reported. “Why do you support terrorists and Antifa?”
The
Post added: “When Ocasio-Cortez did not stop walking, Greene picked up her pace and began shouting at her and asking why she supports antifa, a loosely knit group of far-left activists, and Black Lives Matter, falsely labeling them ‘terrorist’ groups. Greene also shouted that Ocasio-Cortez was failing to defend her ‘radical socialist’ beliefs by declining to publicly debate the freshman from Georgia.”

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene confronted New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on the House floor and reportedly berated her for supporting “terrorists” prompting AOC’s staff to call for better security in Congress.
The Wednesday confrontation, first reported by the Washington Post, began when Greene tried to get the progressive lawmaker’s attention in the chamber by calling out her first name twice.
