WELLINGTON Shire will be among Victorian municipalities to receive state government funding for flood and storm clean-up. To bolster recovery efforts being undertaken by local people on the ground, the state government says it will provide $8.2 million to 10 councils across areas significantly affected by recent flooding and storms. The government says the Council Support Fund will help ensure councils have the recovery staff and expertise they need on the ground, to help them put in place dedicated local teams to coordinate and drive recovery efforts.
