COVID-19 by the numbers New Mexico health officials yesterday reported 359 new COVID-19 cases. Bernalillo County had 102 cases, followed by Doña Ana County with 56 and Sandoval County with 22. Santa Fe County had 13 new cases. Lea County Correctional Facility has 37 new cases among state inmates, following an outbreak of close to 200 cases there reported last week; there have now been 716 COVID-19 cases at that facility. New Mexico has now had 185,898 COVID-19 cases; the health department has designated 150,168 of them as recovered. The state also announced 13 additional deaths, bringing the total number of fatalities to 3,753. As of yesterday, 195 people were hospitalized with COVID-19.

COVID-19 by the numbers Over the weekend, New Mexico health officials reported 520 new COVID-19 cases: 275 on Saturday and 245 on Sunday. Santa Fe County had 16 new cases nine on Saturday and seven on Sunday. The state also announced 31 more deaths: 15 on Saturday and 16 on Sunday. These included two deaths from Santa Fe County: a man in his 70s who was hospitalized and had underlying conditions, and a man in his 60s who was hospitalized. As of yesterday, 192 people were hospitalized with COVID-19. On Friday, the New Mexico Corrections Department reported 191 new COVID-19 cases at the Lea County Correctional Facility, a surge contributing to that day s higher case counts. Corrections Public Information Officer Eric Harrison tells SFR the facility noticed an uptick in inmate cases on Feb. 11, when surveillance testing turned up 27 positive cases. At that point, the department began regular weekly surveillance of 100% of both staff and inmates an increase from prior surveillan

COVID-19 by the numbers New Mexico health officials yesterday reported 448 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the statewide total so far to 183,781. Bernalillo County had 105 new cases, followed by Eddy County with 100 new cases and Doña Ana County with 70. Santa Fe County had 14 new cases. The state also announced 14 additional deaths, including three from Santa Fe County: A man in his 60s who was hospitalized and had underlying conditions; a man in his 80s who was hospitalized and had underlying conditions; and a woman in her 90s who was hospitalized. There have now been 135 deaths in Santa Fe County and 3,658 statewide.

Those deaths included two from Santa Fe County: a man in his 60s with underlying conditions on Saturday, and a man in his 70s with underlying conditions on Sunday.
