He would prioritize infrastructure, public safety and planning for the future of all city utilities, water, gas, electric, sewer and stormwater. O’Malley was appointed to his seat in January after Councilman Andy Pico was elected to the state legislature.

At a news conference in Baton Rouge, both Attorney General Landry and Secretary Ardoin expressed the importance of election integrity through free and fair elections. They stressed that every legal voter gets one legal vote and no more: one man, one vote.
âAnything other than a one-for-one vote distorts our election process,â said Attorney General Landry. âThose who wish to distort an election in this matter are breaking the law and betraying their fellow citizens. It is even more disheartening when the perpetrator is an elected official.â

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - The city of Montgomery is remembering the life and service of Councilman Tracy Larkin.
He passed away this week at age 74 following months of respiratory health issues.
Flowers and a photo of were Larkin were placed at his seat at City Hall, creating a memorial for the long-serving councilman.

TUSKEGEE, Ala. (WSFA) - Tuskegee Councilman Johnny Ford was vaccinated against COVID-19 Thursday morning.
His message to others is to do the same. His comments refer to the Tuskegee study from decades ago where the federal government essentially used residents as “guinea pigs.”
Some people in Tuskegee are apprehensive about the vaccine after that study.
“Back at that time our people were victims. Today we are part of the solution. We have African Americans who are involved in science, African Americans who are involved in developing the vaccine. We are part of the solution,” said Ford.
