The strike was believed to have destroyed a string of small buildings used by militia groups to house and transport weaponry, according to one U.S. official. The Pentagon said in a statement that the attack destroyed facilities at a border-control point used by Iranian-backed militant groups, including Kataib Hezbollah and Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada.
