Bally’s will retain control of the state’s casino market and will also get a larger piece of the revenue
Lawmakers overwhelmingly supported both companies retaining their positions
Rhode Island legislators just signed off on two deals that will have International Game Technology (IGT) and Bally’s Corp. seeing green for years to come. IGT has supported the state’s lottery system since it was introduced and Bally’s, under its former Twin Rivers Holdings name, has been the exclusive casino operator for years. Both entities will now be allowed to continue in their positions, pending final approval by Rhode Island Governor Dan McKee.
Raimondo and McKee share the same consultant.
Governor Dan McKee’s election campaign announced on Tuesday that it has engaged Rising Tide Interactive, “a full-service digital marketing agency, to implement comprehensive digital fundraising and persuasion programs.”
The firm worked for former Governor Gina Raimondo’s 2014 and 2018 campaigns and her campaign paid them in excess of $725,000.
McKee’s campaign claims, “Rising Tide Interactive’s work has helped win 30 US Senate and gubernatorial contests. In the past two election cycles, the firm s clients have included the campaigns of Senators Jeanne Shaheen, Mark Warner, Jackie Rosen, Kyrsten Sinema and Tim Kaine and Governors Andy Beshear, and Kate Brown.
