KARACHI: In a rare show of unity, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah together visited the mausoleum of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah to pay homage to the father of the nation on the occasion of his birth anniversary on Friday.
CM Shah reached the Quaid’s mausoleum in the morning a little before to receive the governor.
They offered fateha and laid floral wreaths together at the mazar.
People largely appreciated the message communicated through this gesture when a video was posted on social media by an aide of the CM.

KARACHI: Alluding to strong public pressure to quit the federal government against the federal cabinetâs decision to uphold the controversial census 2017, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leaders on Friday said that the party has been left with no option but to take to the streets to solicit public opinion whether to remain in the PTI coalition. âNow only the people will decide whether the MQM-P should remain in the government fold or not,â MQM-Pâs convenor Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said while addressing a press conference at the partyâs headquarters on Friday.

A delegation comprising the federal ministers and parliamentarians from Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan here called on Prime Minister Imran Khan, said a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office on Thursday.
The delegation comprised National Assembly member Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Sindh lawmakers Kunwar Naveed Jamil and Haider Rizvi. Federal ministers Asad Umar, Ali Haider Zaidi, Aminul Haq, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Sindh Assembly member Haleem Adil Sheikh were also present.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the overall political situation as well as the upcoming Senate election. The MQM s parliamentarians assured complete solidarity with the government for election of the upper house of the parliament.
