The number of UK job adverts rose 3pc in the week to July 30Â compared to the previous week, with transport and logistics vacancies surging more than any other sector.Â
New data published by job search engine Adzuna found that the total number of online job adverts were 135pc higher than their pre-pandemic average.Â
The number of vacancies in the transport/logistics/warehouse sector rose 11pc over the week, boosting it 338pc above its February 2020 average level.
Of the 28 categories included in the data, the only three that remained below their February 2020 average levels were âgraduateâ, âlegalâ and âenergy, oil and gasâ at 98pc, 90pc and 86pc respectively.
