Weymouth seeks input for safe bicycle routes Wicked Local WEYMOUTH The town is looking for resident input on potentially creating bicycle travel lanes that would provide cyclists greater  access to Weymouth Landing, Jackson Square, Columbian Square and Bicknell Square. Mayor Robert Hedlund said he is an avid bicyclist and that enhancing safe bike routes on local streets has always been a priority for him. “I certainly understand the challenges and obstacles the existing roadways present,” he stated on the town’s webpage. “I consistently make a point to include bike accommodations in the road projects that I have sponsored.” Hedlund stated he would welcome resident suggestions for bicycle travel routes in Weymouth during online meetings, 6 p.m. Jan. 26-27.
