Euromillions winner Matthew Topham, of Swinderby, sentencing for death of woman by careless driving on Christmas Day

A Euromillions jackpot winner has been given a suspended prison sentence after admitting causing the death of a woman on Christmas Day by careless driving.
Matthew Topham, of Eagle Road, Swinderby, was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison, suspended for two years, after pleading guilty to causing the death of Mary Regler.
He was cleared by a jury of causing Mrs Regler s death by dangerous driving after a trial.

Along with the 16-week suspended sentence he was handed a three-month curfew between 7pm and 7am and has been disqualified from driving for 12 months.

EAGLE, Idaho An Eagle woman investigators say fired multiple gunshots during a domestic argument Thursday morning is in custody.
Jody Lynn Zahm, 60, is charged with a felony count of eluding a police officer and a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.
Eagle Police responded to a home in a neighborhood off Eagle Road and East Mission Drive near downtown at 1 a.m. after receiving a report of gunfire.
As officers got to the house, they saw a red pickup truck pull out of the driveway and speed away. An officer followed the pickup and attempted to pull it over, but the driver - later identified as Zahm - did not stop.

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) – The site for a new northeast Bend elementary school has been chosen, in one of the city’s newest, largest subdivisions now taking shape.
The Bend-La Pine School Board will be asked Tuesday evening ap approve the purchase of a 10-acre parcel for $2.88 million from Pahlisch Homes, developers of the Petrosa subdivision, which plans for 1,260 new homes.

NEWTOWN, PA The Newtown Township Police Department reported the following incidents between Feb. 26 and March 4, 2021.
February 26
A resident reported that their Social Security number and a fraudulent South Carolina driver s license were used to apply for a $3,000 personal loan from a bank. The bank manager recognized the red flag when the picture on the driver s license did not match the applicant and placed a hold on the loan. There was no monetary loss and an investigation is ongoing.

At 9:15 p.m., police were dispatched to the intersection of Richboro Road and Cambridge Lane to check the well-being of a man on the sidewalk area. Police made contact with the man who refused medical treatment. He was charged with possessing drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.
