William Maurice âPastor Billâ Wilson, 84, of Marshall, formerly of Coldwater, passed away, Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Grand Vista Assisted Living in Marshall.
He was born on March 2, 1936 in Butler Township to Sidney Bert and Veda (Hollsinger) Wilson. Bill graduated from Quincy High School in 1954 and also graduated from Fort Wayne Bible College in 1959. On February 17, 1960, he married Elaine (Onstott) and she preceded him in death in 2003.
Pastor Bill was a part of the CAMA group in Coldwater. He was the senior pastor at the Gospel Lighthouse in Coldwater, Peoples Church-Church of Living Waters, Branch County Jail Assistant Chaplain and a large supporter of Gideonâs International.
MOSCOW TOWNSHIP A man killed in an accident at his home Monday night in Moscow Township has been identified as Tecumseh Police Sgt. Darrin Briggs.
A news release from the Michigan State Police Jackson Post Tuesday said Briggs died from his injuries aftera downed tree he was attempting to cut with a chainsaw rolled entrapping him underneath.
The incident occurred at Briggs’ home in the 7000 block of Sterling Road and MSP said an investigation is ongoing, but foul play is not suspected.

Tecumseh police sergeant dies following tree-cutting accident
Patrol Sgt. Darrin Briggs died after being injured in an accident at his home. Briggs joined Tecumseh PD in 1997.

TECUMSEH, Mich. A longtime member of the Tecumseh Police Department has died following an accident at his home.
Patrol Sergeant Darrin Briggs, 45, died from injuries sustained in an accident at home, according to a release by the Tecumseh Police Department. Sgt. Briggs joined the department on July 16, 1997.
Sgt. Briggs will be laid to rest at a private ceremony.
According to a statement by Chief Brett Coker confirmed to WLEN radio, Briggs was a 23-year veteran of the force and died after a tree-cutting accident at home.
