Man Suspected in North Dakota Killing Arrested in Minnesota
MOORHEAD (AP) Authorities say a man accused of shooting and killing a man in western North Dakota has been arrested.
The 25-year-old suspect was found hiding in the stairwell of an apartment on the south side of Moorhead, Minnesota. He was taken into custody without incident.
A handgun was recovered in the area.

The man is wanted for a shooting Sunday in Killdeer, which is about 45 miles north of Dickinson.
He is being held in the Clay County Jail awaiting extradition for charges in North Dakota.

MOORHEAD (KFGO) – The search has ended in Moorhead for a man wanted for murder in western North Dakota.
Moorhead police say 25-year-old Oscar Ortiz was discovered hiding in the stairwell of an apartment building in the 500 block of 32nd Ave. South Tuesday afternoon.
The arrest capped a day-long search for Ortiz. He’s accused of shooting a man multiple times near Killdeer on Sunday. Police say a gun was recovered.
Ortiz will be held in the Clay County Jail until he’s returned to Dunn County.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension had joined the search for Ortiz, who was considered armed and dangerous.

Oscar Junior Andujar Ortiz, 25, was wanted by the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation in connection with a fatal shooting in rural Killdeer on Sunday, July 25.
In a Facebook post, police said Ortiz was found at about 3:15 p.m. Tuesday under a stairwell of a building in the 500 block of 32th Avenue South in Moorhead.
Investigators found a handgun near where Ortiz was located, according to police.
