Leader of the A.P. United Teachers’ Federation (AP UTF) expressed disappointment with the Budget presented by Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy in the Assembly on Thursday.
In a statement, its president N. Venkateswarlu and general secretary K.S.S. Prasad said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s assurances on repeal of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and implementation of an effective Pay Revision Commission (PRC) had not found any mention even in the third Budget presented by his government.

As per Socio-Economic Survey, much needs to be done on literacy front
The Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of Andhra Pradesh has increased by 1.58% even during the COVID-19 crisis, which is higher than the national GDP of -3.8%, according to the advanced estimates for the year 2020-2021 in the Socio-Economic Survey brought out by the Planning Department.
The survey report was presented to Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy by Planning Secretary G.S.R.K. Vijaya Kumar.
On Wed., May 11, three Colorado Springs elementary schools are receiving free books for all of their K-5 students via the "If You Give A Child A Book program."
