BELLEVILLE Deb Civitts of Bellville, has announced she is seeking re-election for the office of Mifflin County Treasurer. Civitts has over 20 years’ experience working in the county treasurer’s office.
Civitts obtained an associate degree from South Hills Business School. Upon graduation, she worked in the private sector, setting up and training staff on accounting software for six years prior to starting her work in public accounting at the Mifflin County Treasurer’s Office.
Civitts is a lifelong resident of Mifflin County. She has two children, Kelly, who is married to Rich Strausburg, and Brian Civitts, whose wife is Whitney. She has two grandchildren Nathan and Alyssa Strausburg.

Echo School District will be CLOSED to IN-PERSON Instruction & Online Classes on Tuesday 2/16.
Prescott Sch. Dist.:
2 Hours Late. Student pick up and drop off times, staff arrivals and the start of school will be 2 hours later than usual. Breakfast will not be served. Athena-Weston SD: In-Person Instruction Closed
Christ the King Parish/School: Closed but operating remotely, No preschool. In order to allow adequate time for snow removal and de-icing. K-8 will transition to virtual instruction for Tuesday, February 16th.

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - The Gardens at Calvary assisted living facility in Columbus is dealing with several COVID-19 cases.
According to the most recent COVID-19 report from the state, 22 residents out of 81 residents who call The Gardens their home have tested positive for the virus.
The report, dated Wednesday, Dec. 30, also shows that nine staff members tested positive for the virus. Rickey Smith, CEO and pastor of the Calvary Ministries organization, said they are doing their best to manage the situation and recently suspended visits with residents.
