As with every other sector, the COVID-19 pandemic took its toll on the arts community. We look back on a year of struggle, innovation and resilience in Calgary’s arts scene.
Jan. 8: Calgary-shot Fortunate Son debuted on CBC. Very loosely based on the family history of Calgary producer Tom Cox, this CBC drama plunged viewers into the tumultuous world of anti-war protestors circa 1968.
Hong Kong: Arts fund applications open
The Advisory Committee on Arts Development today launched the 10th round of funding exercise under the Arts Capacity Development Funding Scheme.
The new Arts Technology category has been included in this round of funding exercise to support proposals that promote the convergence of arts and technology.
Applicants are encouraged to present their artistic vision and aspiration through the use of technology in a creative manner by submitting proposals that exemplify and achieve the four objectives of the scheme, namely development of arts practitioners, arts groups, art forms and the arts sector, programme or content development, audience building, and arts education.
