For many of us, 12 April was the Glorious Twelfth , reborn. Yet it swiftly became apparent that the UK weather was not willing to play ball, and as April turned into May, a long-awaited spring failed to appear, and the big coats were very much still a wardrobe fixture. This meant that only a handful of restaurants were truly appealing during this enforced al fresco period. One of them, naturally, was Dalloway Terrace, the smart Bloomsbury hotel restaurant whose beautiful outside space has become a firm favourite with the smart set. And they ve been turning up in their droves.
It is, by several different measures, landmark news.
Interviewed by Bloomberg Markets: The Close on May 24, Guggenheim Partners co-founder Todd Morley announced plans to create the world’s biggest museum dedicated to NFTs, the digital art ownership tokens that have exploded into the news in recent months. The new attraction is set to be located within a 1,428-foot-tall skyscraper located at 111 West 57th Street, just four blocks from the Museum of Modern Art.
The 84-floor building, also hyped as the world’s “skinniest tower,” has been in development for years by JDS Development Group, though its completion was pushed back due to the pandemic. Designed by SHoP Architects, it is set to be clad in Art Deco-inspired terra cotta, glass, and bronze ornament.

“I’ve got some important stones, and she has got some good ideas new, fresh ideas,” said Alisa Moussaieff, the 91-year-old owner and chairwoman of the family business, which has been buying and selling gems since the 19th century. (The company has worked with designers in the past, but only under the house’s name.)
Called Moussaieff by Anna Hu, the eight-piece collection features a diamond butterfly ring that can be worn five ways, including with the central 8.22-carat stone on its own (the choice of Maria Bakalova, a star of the “Borat” sequel, who wore it at the Oscars last month).
