California Governor Gavin Newsom has declared that May 2021 shall be both Small Business Month and Older Californians Month.

Governor Gavin Newsom today issued a proclamation declaring May 2021, as “Small Business Month” in the State of California.
Last week, Governor Newsom signed legislation providing small businesses hit hardest by the pandemic a $6.2 billion tax cut over the next six years, an important component of California’s economic recovery strategy.

The Carlsbad City Council met in closed session Tuesday to discuss litigation and property negotiations. In open session, the council approved authorizing staff to work with Brookfield Properties, NRG Energy, and San Diego Gas & Electric to relocate the SDG&E North Coast Service Center from Carlsbad Boulevard and Cannon Road to the city-owned parking lot at The Shoppes at Carlsbad.
