NOVATO, CA One person was arrested and 22 citations were issued Friday night at a Novato DUI checkpoint, police said.
Of the 1,039 vehicles that went through the checkpoint 68 were directed to a secondary screening area, police said.
Officers issued 18 citations for driving without a license and four for miscellaneous moving violations, police said.

Eight drivers were issued field sobriety tests and one vehicle was towed according to police.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
