Elon Musk is a divisive figure who posts many, many updates about his companies on Twitter every day now,
Tesla‘s director of its Autopilot software has told the Californian Department of Motor Vehicles that Musk has been overcompensating and exaggerating the capabilities of Tesla’s autonomous driving systems.
As outlined in a memo released by PlainSite, it was said: “DMV asked CJ to address, from an engineering perspective, Elon’s messaging about L5 capability by the end of the year. Elon’s tweet does not match engineering reality per CJ. Tesla is at Level 2 currently. The ratio of driver interaction would need to be in the magnitude of 1 or 2 million miles per driver interaction to move into higher levels of automation. Tesla indicated that Elon is extrapolating on the rates of improvement when speaking about L5 capabilities. Tesla couldn’t say if the rate of improvement would make it to L5 by end of calendar year.”

Another New Covid-19 Strain Found In California Published by GulteDesk January 18, 2021
The coronavirus cases in the US are not going down, but the number is hitting record highs each day and week. In California, the number of Covid-19 infections is reported to be more than 3 million, while the alarming update is that the health officials found a new strain that is different from the highly contagious variant first seen in the UK.
There were many outbreaks in Santa Clara County and the new strain appears to be identified in at least a dozen counties. The Californian Department of Public Health is not sure if it is highly contagious like the UK-variant. The Santa Clara County laboratories have been studying changes in the virus’ genome sequence.
