Let vocalist Emily Aleta Dorland, and pianist Duane Carlson take you through a musical journey celebrating the most wonderful time of the year while honoring many cultures through the power of music. A Wadsworth native, Emily Aleta Dorland began singing at a young age. She cultivated and enhanced her love of music and her singing through participation in choirs and musical theater productions. Duane Carlson is an accomplished pianist born in Akron, Ohio.
EEJ Firelands Trio: The Music of Herbie Hancock Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural Outreach (ORMACO) continues its free Sunday programs at the Wadsworth Public Library with the EEJ Firelands Trio.
TAHLEQUAH â In the May 17 Community Services meeting, the Tribal Council learned that the Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nationâs new construction program is continuing, and that citizens can now buy headstones for new burials through the tribe.
HACN Interim Executive Director Jerri Killer said the new construction homeownership program has received bids for new units.Â
âI have 32 new construction units, the bids have just come back and weâre getting ready to award those bids. So we should be starting on those pretty soon,â Killer said.
Tribal Councilor Daryl Legg asked Killer prices of material for construction since prices have risen.
