The Tuscaloosa County High School choir made a quick day trip to Truist Park in Atlanta this week.
They didn t travel three hours just to catch a baseball game, though; the singers were given the opportunity to perform the national anthem just after first pitch Thursday. The Braves were set to play the Toronto Blue Jays at home.

The school published a video of the performance on its Facebook page. Around 150 students, dressed in TCHS gear, lined up behind the infield to sing The Star-Spangled Banner.
Upon completion of the song, Truist Park erupted in cheers for the young singers. Afterward, the group attended the game against the Blue Jays.
Virtual Choir In Greece Sings as One Despite Pandemic Restrictions

A virtual choir based out of Kavala, Greece, bringing together 80 different singers, recently released a remarkable work born out of the pandemic – a video compiled from 80 different renditions of the music, perfectly edited together to create one work of art.
The songs they sang, “Trehantira,” were all Greek folk songs from the Cyclades Islands, with music and choral arrangements by Dimitris Minakakis under the direction of Roula Kokka.
” width=”1080″>The conductor of the choir, “Όμορφος κόσμος της χορωδίας» (Beautiful World of Choir), who had the daunting task of coordinating each one of the singers’ parts, was Nikos Efthymiadis. The audiovisual editor, who also sings tenor in the group, was Dimitris Lapousis.

Bravo to Sydney Kleingartner of Gackle and Carmen Entzminger of Jamestown, selected as 2021 North Dakota Dairy Ambassadors by Midwest Dairy. The two were chosen from applications in the Midwest Dairy region which includes eight states. They will represent the dairy industry in a variety of activities.
Bravo to the junior division teams from this region who placed in the top three teams at the North Dakota state 4-H crop judging contest last month at Valley City. The team from Griggs and LaMoure counties placed first, the Ransom County team placed second, and the Foster County team placed third.
