CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) - As school districts work to catch students up on what they may have missed during the height of the pandemic, programs are offered to help English language learners in and out the classroom.
More than 5,500 students from all around the world are enrolled in Charleston County schools this year. The “English for Speakers of Other Languages” program helps them learn the English language by working with them in all different subjects.

During this pandemic, each one of us faced challenges in one way or another. As a teacher, one of my biggest takeaways from 2020 has been that teaching methods have to continue to evolve and cater to the demands of a changing world.

Expectations are still high for conservative Democrats to support the bill’s passing in the Senate by mid-March. The price tag of the bill might come down and it seems unlikely the minimum wage hike to $15 will get enough support.
