(Bismarck, ND) A file documenting allegations of inappropriate comments and harassment by Representative Luke Simons is being made public. Legislative Council Director John Bjornson has been keeping notes about allegations made by staff and discussions with legislative leaders since 2018. Simons has denied making inappropriate statements that are alleged in the documents.
Earlier this week, North Dakota’s District 36 Rep. Luke Simons, of Dickinson, came under fire for comments made to Rep. Karla Rose Hanson, a Fargo Democrat, to put his mask on while standing in line in the Capitol cafeteria. Simons replied with “f - off” and “you’re not my f mother.” Now Simons is again under fire following additional “sexist,” “misogynistic” and “racists” comments coming to light comments and allegations that Simons patently denies.
