Daniel Nelson, whose home is across the residential Sunset Avenue from the proposed business, told TRC members Wednesday that the neighborhood is not opposed to the business itself, but residents do have some concerns about the potential for adding traffic to the neighborhood.
“I think everyone’s on board for having them in the community,” Nelson said. But he added, “We’re just trying to give you our input so the most intelligent solution can come forward.”
According to Nelson, the intersection near the western end of 30A already is problematic for the Beachview Heights subdivision, inasmuch as motorists on 30A often use it to make U-turns on the popular route to many of the beaches of South Walton.
