Sir Richard Branson is weightless in space on his Virgin Galactic passenger rocket plane. On Sunday, July 11, Virgin Group founder Richard Branson flew to space in a rocket he spent 17 years and $1 billion creating. Amazon fuounder Jeff Bezos wasn t far behind. He blasted into space July 21 on his rocket company’s first flight with people on board, becoming the second billionaire in just over a week to ride his own spacecraft.
