The Carol Stream Park District s Armstrong Park North Parking Lot project has been selected for funding through the FY2021 DuPage County Water Quality Improvement Program Grant. The maximum funding amount is 25 percent of the related projects costs. The DuPage County Stormwater Management Planning Committee approved funding for the Armstrong Park project is no more than $40,395 for qualified costs, which equates to a 25 percent reimbursement.

A DuPage County stormwater management committee has recommended grant funding for a water-quality project at Armstrong Park in Carol Stream.
Proposed improvements call for replacing Armstrong s asphalt north parking lot with permeable pavers and a vegetated swale system. The parking lot is located off Idaho Street.
The stormwater committee selected the Carol Stream Park District project for funding through the county s water quality improvement grant program.

The Carol Stream Park District offers a variety of activities for all ages this winter. For information, visit www.csparks.org. The park district s Fountain View Recreation Center is located at 910 N. Gary Ave., and Simkus Recreation Center is located at 849 W. Lies Road.
New programs have been added to the Digital Guide.
