Motorcyclist critically injured in crash in Massachusetts town; Other driver suffers minor wounds

A two-vehicle crash in a Massachusetts town late Tuesday left a motorcyclist critically injured and the other driver with minor wounds, police said.
The crash involving the motorcycle and car was reported around 9:40 p.m. at the intersection of Main Street and Carol Lane on Route 109 in Medway, according to a statement from the town’s police chief, Allen M. Tingley.
The initial investigation into the crash revealed both vehicles were traveling east on Main Street when the motorcyclist, a 51-year-old Medway man, tried to make a left turn onto Carol Lane and was struck by the car, Tingley said.

MEDWAY, MASS (WLNE) – Medway Police are investigating an accident from Tuesday night that sent a motorcyclist to the hospital.
Police received numerous 911 calls reporting a crash that involved a motorcycle and car at the intersection of Main Street and Carol Lane around 9:40 p.m.
According to the department, an initial investigation indicates both vehicles were traveling east on the road when the motorcycle operator attempted to make a left turn onto Carol Lane.
During the turn, the motorcycle was struck by the car.
The operator of the vehicle was transported to the UMass Medical center in Worcester in critical condition.

State contractors are set to close all eastbound mainlanes of the highway between Ayers Street and Everhart Road for barrier work, according to a statement from the Texas Department of Transportation. The closure is set for Wednesday and Thursday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Drivers on the highway will exit at Ayers, continue on the eastbound frontage road under the state Highway 286 (Crosstown) flyovers and proceed through the Kostoryz Road, Carroll Lane, Weber Road, and Everhart intersections. There, they will re-enter the mainlanes after Everhart.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Three people are facing serious charges after police said they were seen firing off a gun off of a balcony.
Neighbors on Lamont Street off of Carroll Lane heard several gunshots Wednesday night.
A series of gunshots prompted homeowners to dial 911 and when an officer arrived, he saw three people holding a gun and firing the weapon. The officer alerted the suspects of his presence and waited for backup to arrive as more officers responded to the scene.
