Many Andover residents got in touch to express their thanks to their mums. Jacob Hughes sent a photo of his mum and dad, writing: “I feel that you should put this is for your Mother’s Day special because my mum is one in a million, she and my father brought all 13 of us up and has done an amazing job.” As a message to his mum, Jacob added: “Happy Mother’s Day Mum from your 12 sons and your only daughter. We love you and everything you have done for us!! Thank you.”

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Itâs a big week across the Charlotte area as more people get protection from COVID-19.
Thousands more are expected to be vaccinated over the next few days.
Atrium Health is hosting a three-day mass vaccination event at Bank of America Stadium from Tuesday to Thursday.
Atrium will host another event this weekend at Johnson C. Smith University.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - In February, more than 300 Walgreens locations in North Carolina started offering the COVID-19 vaccine.
It means one more option for people currently eligible for the shot, but some people are reporting issues with the system.
As an assistant director for a local child care center, Rachel Kaplan was excited to secure first and second-dose appointments for the COVID-19 vaccine through Walgreens.
Kaplan scheduled her first appointment for February 27 at the Walgreens on Park Road in Quail Corners Shopping Center.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Teachers, school and daycare staff members across North Carolina are now eligible for their first COVID-19 vaccine dose.
Teachers, principals, child care providers, bus drivers and custodial and cafeteria staff became eligible for the vaccine Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Several school districts in our area are working with health systems to hold clinics.
In Mecklenburg County, the only teachers getting shots on Wednesday are the ones who secured an appointment on their own.
