Carolyn Newman to Run Scripted TV for Will Packer Media

The former Netflix and Entertainment One exec replaces Sheila Ducksworth in the role.
Carolyn Newman has lined up her next act.
Newman has been tapped to serve as head of scripted television and production at Will Packer Media. Newman will be charged with developing and producing the production company s TV projects and working closely with creators, writers and producers. She reports to Alix Baudin, president of Will Packer Media.
Newman arrives at Will Packer Media two months after being let go at Netflix amid the streamer s executive restructuring. She replaces Sheila Ducksworth in the role at the company. Ducksworth departed in October for a job overseeing the NAACP s production deal with CBS Studios.
