Trombonist Curtis Fuller RIP, Aged 86 Share
The late Curtis Fuller had several connections to Denver and Colorado. Mr. Fuller visited KUVO Jazz several times and played in our former Phyllis A. Greer Performance Studio at our previous Five Points Media Center location.
Curtis recorded with Colorado’s own Capri Records, 2 albums as a leader and another one as an accompanist for Keith Oxman, he also recorded a CD with Boulder’s Brad Goode.

The late journalist Betty Jerman, who joined the paper in 1951 and worked simultaneously as secretary and columnist, once said of her “rather shabby” male colleagues: “You had the feeling they weren’t terribly interested in looking smart. They were more interested in what they were writing.”
Multichannel broadcaster UKTV has commissioned a food-focused format fronted by Dr Ranj Singh for its W channel.

Produced by London’s South Shore Productions, Extreme Food Phobics (10×60’) follows doctor and presenter Singh as he helps people through some of their worst fears surrounding food via a three-stage process.
UKTV deputy director of commissioning Hilary Rosen and commissioning editor Kirsty Hanson exec produce the show alongside, CEO Melanie Leach and creative director Caroline Davies of South Shore. Richard Park will be series producer, with the show set to air on W later this year.
Leach said: “We’re delighted to be working with Dr Ranj on our debut commission for UKTV. Extreme Food Phobics is an exciting new format that we hope will help a cast of characters for whom food has become the enemy.”

Transport Secretary Grant Shapps is leading a Downing Street briefing tonight on the next phase of the roadmap restrictions being lifted in 10 days time.
He s widely expected to announce a traffic light system for international travel - with countries being placed on the green, amber and red lists.
