SUKKUR: A man allegedly shot dead his younger sister and her alleged friend over the charges of ‘Karo Kari’ in the limits of Baeji Police Station in district Sukkur. Reports said accused Asghar Mirani shot dead his younger sister, 16-year-old Zeenat Khatoon, and her alleged friend Abbas Mirani on the pretext of ‘Karo Kari’ in the limits of Baeji Police Station in Sukkur. The police shifted the bodies to a local hospital in Pano Aqil for autopsy. They said the accused was in police custody now, where he revealed that he shot dead both after seeing them in an objectionable condition.

SUKKUR: The Khairpur Police have announced arresting the primary accused in the horrific rape and murder of 8-year-old girl in Khairpur after a 10-day search.
Addressing a press conference, AIGP Sukkur Dr. Kamran Fazal, DIGP Sukkur Fida Hussain Mastoi and SSP Khairpur Captain (retd) Ameer Saud Magsi announced arresting the primary accused in the rape and murder case whom they identified as Abdullah Larik.
The police said that the DNA of the accused has matched with the one found on the victim child. Larik’s body was found on January 9, by the desperate parents from a banana orchard near UC SadarJi Bhatyoon, near Pir Jo Goth in Khairpur after she went missing from her employer’s house for over two days.

The role of errant police personnel in facilitating kidnaping for ransom incidents dominated the proceedings in the Sindh Assembly on Friday after an opposition lawmaker drew the house’s attention towards it.

SUKKUR: Two people, including a woman and a criminal, were shot dead in two different incidents in the Sukkur region. Reports said an accused Asghar Jalbani shot dead his wife Imam Khatoon in Ghotki over the shabby tradition of ‘Karo Kari’. The police said the accused fired to kill his wife after declaring her ‘Kari’ with his own brother, Riaz Jalbani, as ‘Karo’ and managed to escape. The police have shifted the body to a local hospital for medico legal formalities, conducting raids to arrest the accused.
Meanwhile, the Sukkur Police have shot dead a most-wanted criminal. SSP Sukkur Irfan Ali Sammo said the police had an encounter with a gang of criminals at Bachal Shah Link Road near Pano Aqil, when dacoits were trying to snatch valuables from people.

SUKKUR: In the latest case of the so-called Karo Kari tradition, or honour killing, a man shot dead his sister over suspicions that she had illicit relations with a boy here in the Ubauro town of Sindh s Ghotki district.
Liaquat Shar reportedly shot dead his younger sister, identified as Subhana Shar, because he believed she was involved in
haram , or unlawful, relationship with a boy. The suspect, however, managed to flee and escape arrest by police.
Police confirmed having received and shifting a body to the local hospital but made no comment on Shar s arrest. It was unclear if any search parties were formed to nab the suspect.
