The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation is excited to announce the 2021 BLOOM Garden Recognition Project for northern Chautauqua County.
Bloom’s mission is to acknowledge and celebrate the work of residents who contribute vibrancy and beauty to the northern Chautauqua County region through their gardens and landscaping.
Between June 5-26, community volunteer teams will survey all yard landscapes within their individual municipality and identify landscapes meeting BLOOM criteria. A limited number of homes will be selected to receive a BLOOM 2021 garden sign/gift bag and entered into a prize raffle drawing held in July.
The project’s goal is to inspire homeowners and garden stewards to contribute to our region’s beauty and say thank you for the color, character, and value they add to our neighborhoods.

The Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) is currently accepting applications for the Reverend Clifford K. Cliver and Lucy Cliver Sumsky Scholarship.
Rev. Cliver established the scholarship in 2015 to provide higher education financial assistance to adults who spent time in the foster care system as a child.
“Growing up as foster children, my late sister Lucy and I experienced firsthand those children in foster care must rely on the kindness and compassion of those in our community,” Cliver said. “Together, we wanted to increase the resources given to students who have been in foster care as it is vital to their well-being and improving their opportunities.”
