Seeding in our area is well underway and, as usual, farmers are scanning the skies for a promise of rain. And we, once again, live in the midst of fierce alkali storms, depending on the direction of the wind. This is one of the many pleasures of living in unpredictable Alberta!
The Craigmyle Historic Society will be holding their annual meeting on May 11 at 2:00 p.m. Any interested persons are encouraged to take part in this meeting. If you are interested please call Janice (403-436-1767) or Bev (403-665-2492) to confirm if this meeting will be inside, outside or virtual as that decision which will be made closer to the event.

She appears as a rescuer for Kate, an insecure 20-something who has moved to London to escape a family life in Cambridge that was marred by the disappearance of her sister, Scarlett, when she was a young child.
Kate joins Della’s self-help group called the Janes and is gradually drawn deeper into Della’s seemingly faultless family life. But Della has plans for Kate that will eventually detonate her present life and cause her to totally re-think her past.

Despite gusting winds and a temperature of 42 degrees at the time the three-hour meeting began it was 37 degrees and felt like 30 by its 8 p.m. conclusion more than 50 people bundled up to attend an outdoor hearing on the fate of two Sylva apartment projects Thursday, April 1.
After moving through a pair of formal quasi-judicial hearing processes from the stage of Bridge Park, the Board of Adjustments which is composed of town board members ultimately gave unanimous approval to a 150-bedroom, three-building complex to be located on 6.83 acres along Savannah Road but denied, by the narrowest margin possible, an application for a 76-unit, three-story senior living building on Skyland Drive.
