Inverness Sheriff Court heard on Thursday that Karen Main had owed a lot of money and targeted a large number of customers by fraudulently issuing loans. In total, the 49-year-old embezzled £23,000 of company funds. To hide the fact she had taken from the float, Main claimed an intruder took some money, leaving her with a head injury.

File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council urges approval of transfer of youth treatment facility in Fort San The File Hills Qu’Appelle Tribal Council is encouraging the Village of Fort San to support The Calling Lakes Centre in providing a temporary home for Pine Lodge Treatment Centre. The Pine Lodge Treatment Centre was located in the community of Indian Head for more than 30 years until a fire last December forced its closure. The Canadian Union of Public Employees which is representing nurses at the Pine Lodge Treatment Centre blamed the Mayor and Council of the Village of Fort San for delaying approval of the relocation.
