COVID-19 vaccines available at Hunterdon County clinic Appointments for Hunterdon County s COVID-19 vaccination drive-thru clinic are available for April 27 and May 4. The drive-thru clinic is at the Hunterdon County Complex on Route 12 in Raritan Township. Those age 18 and above can schedule appointments on the county website, www.co.hunterdon.nj.us. Individuals who do not have access to the internet or have difficulty managing the online appointment process can call the county s Health Department Call Center at 908 788-1351. The county has announced the Health Department’s clinic has administered nearly 15,000 first- and second-dose vaccinations and has determined that it is no longer necessary to have a waiting list.

By RIKKI MASSAND Credits: Rikki Massand April 7, 2021 at 9:00 AM HUNTERDON COUNTY, NJ - Almost half of all new COVID-19 infections in the United States (44%) are stemming from five states – New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Florida and Michigan. The Garden State’s COVID activity level was elevated from the moderate to high risk level over the past few days, and this week’s meeting of Hunterdon County’s governing body was impacted by the alarming new rise in COVID cases. Hunterdon County Health Officer Karen DeMarco called into Tuesday’s Board of County Commissioners’ meeting, as she and board director Susan Soloway both noted that in early April the decision was made to take a step back from in-person county meetings in Flemington. Despite having most meetings over the last six months at the Hunterdon County Courthouse with a limited audience, the April 6 meeting was held only via teleconference.

Front-line health workers begin receiving vaccines in Hunterdon County

Some health workers inÂ Hunterdon County, New Jersey started receiving COVID-19 vaccines this week. Hunterdon Countyâs Health Department on Wednesday began providing Modernaâs COVID-19 vaccinations to emergency medical technicians and school nurses, target groups authorized by the CDC as Category 1A, according to a news release from the county Board of Chosen Freeholders. More vaccine is anticipated to be received next week. The CDC will advise when the county program can be expanded to the Category 1B group, which includes first responders, firefighters, law enforcement officers, teachers, critical infrastructure workers, and residents 75 years of age and older. Hunterdon Countyâs vaccine distribution is taking place as a drive-thru operation and is overseen by the county Health Department, according to Health Officer Karen DeMarco.
