Palmwoods residents have shared their ideas for how to solve the hinterland townâs road safety concerns.
Excessive speed, traffic banked up for kilometres, dangerous intersections and illegal U-turns were just some of the issues they have raised. Sunshine Coast Daily s Pave the way for Palmwoods campaign.
The community survey sought to understand residentsâ views on several issues with questions about the regionâs speed limit, what their concerns were and any potential solutions.
There were 72 responses received with 97.2 per cent agreeing there was a definite traffic issue in Palmwoods.

Nurses have been at the forefront of redesigning health services and coming up with new ways of working in response to Covid-19.
In recognition of this, International Nurses’ Day this year is dedicated to highlighting the changes to and innovations in nursing and looking at nurses’ role in planning the future of healthcare.
To mark the event,
Nursing Times has spoken to some of those nurses in the UK who have innovated during the pandemic.

BETHESDA Area residents turned out in groups large and small to mark the National Day of Prayer on Thursday with a message of unity, community and asking God for strength to bear up during difficult times.
At St. Clairsville, about 40 people gathered under a tent on the plaza in front of the Belmont County Courthouse.
Last year, the COVID-19 pandemic meant the in-person gathering could not occur, and the faithful viewed a livestreamed event. Organizers said attendees were excited Thursday.
The Rev. Leonard Payne, chaplain of the Family Life Ministry Center Assemblies of God in Bridgeport, was the speaker. He spoke about the importance of hearing God’s call and witnessing love, forgiveness and mercy rather than worldly matters.
