More than 5,000 people attend Melbourne s march for women 15/03/2021|4min
More than 5,000 people have gathered today in Melbourne’s Treasury Gardens to stand in solidarity with the Women’s March 4 Justice movement being recognised at 40 events across the country.
The speeches focused heavily on violence against Indigenous women – with trans women and sexual assault survivors also addressing the crowds.
Mental health workers and counsellors were present at the event to provide support for anyone wanting assistance.
Even organisers told people who were unable to attend the rally they could still show support by sharing a post online with the hashtag march4justice.
