SALISBURY, Md. – Harbor Freight is helping out local students with their Tools For Schools program. Recently they donated toolkits to an automotive teacher at Parkside High School. Executive Director of Tools for Schools Danny Corwin says the class has about 45 students and they run a live car shop on campus. “Their students are learning as they grow from freshman year to senior year. The tool kit donations help the students continue to learn and provide that ongoing service,” said Corwin.
But with COVID-19 it’s been hard for teachers to get students that hands on experience. “As we all know skilled trade workers have been deemed essential in our economy right now, and we feel like their education is essential too. We want to make sure they’re in a position to go out and fill those desperately needed jobs in our economy when we start to rebuild,” said Corwin.
