Colorado homebuilders launched a “Builders for Babies Diaper Drive” with the goal of collecting more than 1.5 million diapers for those in need.
HomeAid Colorado is a nonprofit organization that assists agencies helping residents who are homeless or at-risk to be homeless.
Construction industry members such as Richmond American Homes, Lennar and Oakwood Homes help complete building projects and donate resources to those agencies.
“The past four years we’ve averaged collecting over a million diapers each year,” executive director Cindy Bell said in a statement. “In 2021 our goal is to up the ante and secure 1.5 million diapers. While this is a lofty goal, it’s important for our community to rally together and provide the next generation of Coloradans with basic living necessities.”
Sunset over Banning Lewis Ranch
At a time when home is the center of life more than ever before, one Colorado Springs neighborhood has emerged as a leader. Banning Lewis Ranch, an Oakwood Homes Community on the northeast side of town has garnered a distinction that no other new community in the state of Colorado has achieved. Besides being Colorado Springs’ fastest-growing and best-selling community for the last seven years, Banning Lewis Ranch was the only Colorado community to make the 2020 “Top 50 Master-Planned Communities” list compiled by independent research company John Burns Real Estate Counseling.

I ve met a couple people here who said, yeah, I just bought a BMX bike, or, yeah, I just put together a board, like, I want to ride or go to the skatepark but it sucks cause it s 30, 45 minutes away, says Isaac.

In a county with a population currently estimated by the U.S. Census Bureau at more than 720,000, those figures reveal that homes are getting snapped up.
Another way to look at the local home market is months-supply data â the number of months it would take for current inventory on the market to sell, given the current pace.
