MIDWAY, N.C. North Davidson will now be alone in first place when looking at the Central Carolina 2A Conference softball standings.
The Black Knights defeated Oak Grove, 5-0, on Thursday night. North Davidson went into this week ranked No. 5 in the midseason HighSchoolOT Top 25 West softball poll, while Oak Grove was outside the compiled list despite only having one blemish on its overall record.
North Davidson extended its winning streak to eight games following a five-run decision against rival Oak Grove. The Black Knights fell in their home and season opener versus No. 3 East Forsyth (4A) by a 4-1 score.

Early years
Uzoma Dozie is the first of the five sons of Pascal Dozie (PGD). He was born in England in 1969 at the time when his father was working with Greater London Development Council as a young graduate. The family soon relocated to Uganda when Pascal Dozie was contracted by the Ugandan Government as a Statistician, to work with a team carrying out an economic study in conjunction with the African Development Society Group.
