North Texas counties, cities, others open warming shelters for residents without power
Some of the warming shelters will be open 24 hours a day.
The Kay Bailey Hutchison convention center is Dallas was opened up Friday, Feb. 12, 2021 to give people without shelter a warm place to stay during the bitter sub-freezing temperatures predicted for the coming days. The City arranged for OurCalling to handle the preparation of the center, the intake and the around-the-clock operational management of the project, with funding for the opening of the Convention Center coming from the City of Dallas, and help provide by many other partner agencies.(Ali Hendricksen)

As scary new Covid variants start circulating, Toronto Public Health (and good old common sense) now dictates we wear three-layer, non-medical masks, with at least two fabric layers and a filter. Here are 15 Toronto brands offering three times the coverage.
