Two of Sugar Landâs major regional parks are now more accessible to motorists and trail users.Â
The city announced last Friday it had recently completed the Brazos River Park Connector Road and Trail project, a 1-mile long road which links Sugar Land Memorial Park (150 acres) and Brazos River Park (67 acres) and provides expanded access to a network of parks spanning 420 acres.
The parks along the Brazos River corridor previously were segmented into smaller park sites because of the logistical challenges of the natural landscape. The new road will help the city take another step toward its goal of fulfilling its decade-long master plan to make its greenspaces easier to visit.Â
