Bang & Olufsen announces Beosound Emerge wireless bookshelf speaker
High-end audio manufacturer Bang & Olufsen has announced the Beosound Emerge, a wireless bookshelf speaker with a distinctive design.
The Beosound Emerge takes its role of a bookshelf speaker a little too literally and assumes the form of a hardcover book. Designed by Benjamin Huber of Design Agency LAYER, the Beosound Emerge features a pearl-blasted anodized aluminum base. The gold model features oak wood side panels with Kvadrat textile on the spine. The black model has polymer side panels with pearl-blasted aluminum for the grill in Black Anthracite finish.
The speaker features a triple driver design, including a 4-inch woofer, 1.45-inch mid-range driver, and 0.6-inch tweeter. Bang & Olufsen Beosound Emerge packs big sound into a thin speaker

Bang & Olufsen has been making high-end audio gear and other products for several years. The company has announced its latest product, the Beosound Emerge, designed by Benjamin Hubert of Design Agency LAYER. Emerge is a home speaker that has a very slim silhouette while being able to deliver powerful sound suited to any space. Beosound Emerge aims to be a balance of beauty suited to an interior object combined with the performance of a speaker built for longevity.
The Emerge speaker’s design goal was to create the slimmest speaker possible that was still able to deliver full-range, ultra-wide sound using a revolutionary driver configuration. The speaker promises impressive sound no matter where it’s placed in the home. Beosound Emerge’s design was inspired by the compact form factor of a book.

Bang & Olufsen realized some people want a high-quality sound experience at home, but without a big, visible speaker in the room. So the company s latest smart speaker is designed to look like a book, and can easily disappear on a bookshelf.
It s called the Beosound Emerge, and this ultra-slim speaker can either be left out in the open, or hidden away without impacting the sound quality it produces. The vision for Beosound Emerge was to create the slimmest speaker possible that could still deliver full range, ultra-wide sound despite its size through its revolutionary driver configuration. Whether placed on a bookshelf in the bedroom or a tight corner of the kitchen, Beosound Emerge’s slim design allows you to extend your music to a new room or complement an existing speaker in the same area without taking up extra space, says Christoffer Poulsen, Senior Vice President and Head of Product Management at Bang & Olufsen.
