Face-to-face meetings with FEMA for Almeda, S Obenchain fire survivors

JACKSON CO., Ore.- The Jackson County Emergency Operations Center announced today that Federal Emergency Management Agency has agreed to reengage with fire survivors in face-to-face meetings to assist them through the claim process.  These meetings are designed to provide a second look at the applications previously filed where survivors have concerns, or they were denied benefits. The reengagement meetings will be held as follows: May 14-17 at the Phoenix Plaza Civic Center. 220 N. Central Point Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo plans for fall return to Expo - KOBI-TV NBC5 / KOTI-TV NBC2

The Jackson County Expo announces that the 2021 Central Point Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo is returning. In a press release, organizers said they are moving their rodeo dates to September 10th and 11th 2021. The committee has a tentative back up plan for outside the arena if the county is still under indoor restrictions due to Covid-19, but are currently planning to be back full force by the Fall.   Grace Smith is co-anchor for NBC5 News at 6. The Chicago native is a recent graduate of University of Miami with a Communication Honors degree specializing in Broadcast Journalism. She minored in Creative Writing and focused her senior thesis on social media usage and engagement. During her time at the University of Miami, she anchored multiple award-winning student television programs, covering everything from music festivals to the Super Bowl.

Readers share what they wish they had been taught in sex education IF YOU cast your mind back to your school days, you will most likely remember lots of laughing, blushing and awkward conversations in you sex ed class- that is if you were lucky enough to have been taught sex education. Times have now changes and following updates to the curriculum, it is now mandatory for relationships and sex education (RSE) to be taught in all schools, regardless of whether it is state or private. The newly updated curriculum, that took 20 years to change, will cover a range of topics from pornography and sexting to sexuality and gender identity.
