StyleWeek Northeast is back on Thursday, June 10 with an intimate fashion event held on the patio at
the Capital Grille in Providence. This will be the nineteenth season for the Rhode Island-based fashion event that has been marked as a “micro-fashion week.”
The smaller affair involves three runway shows, including the SEED Student Design Challenge featuring eleven students’ work from
the Lincoln School in Providence as well as presentations by two local veteran designers

SPRINGFIELD Sister Mary Caritas is a member of the Mercy Medical Center Board of Directors. She is also a former president of the hospital. But she is also a nurse a 1945 graduate of the Mercy School of Nursing.
Caritas was on hand to deliver remarks as Mercy Medical Center dedicated its new Nurses Garden, created to honor the past, present and future nursing graduates of her alma mater.
Many former nurses who went through the Mercy School of Nursing attended the ceremony, held this week to recognize National Nurses Week. They enjoyed the stories Sister Caritas told from her days in school about making the scary walk to the morgue and other anecdotes.

Geoffery Wiseman is the first endowed chair of the new Grace School of Applied Diplomacy at DePaul. He has had a varied, transprofessional career that embodies the Grace School’s diplomatic approach.
“I myself do not know of any other school of foreign service or school of diplomacy in the U.S. or elsewhere that has this transnational, transprofessional, applied diplomacy approach,” Wiseman said.
The Grace School was established at DePaul in 2019, after an anonymous $20 million gift to the university.
Wiseman brings decades of experience in a range of fields to his position at DePaul, from foreign service to international security and academia.
