(GCA) â Grace Christian Academy Hans Gabriel Ordas topped the 4th grade level and was the overall winner among the CNMIâs 4th to 8th graders who competed in the Math Leagueâs first online qualifying round competition in March. He will compete again in the 2nd qualifying round this April.
Math League is one of the largest networks of local and state math competitions at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in the United States and abroad. Mathleague.org runs more than 400 contests globally and reaches over 30,000 students each year.
Ordas, who was also the top winner in other islandwide Math competitions in the past school years, said he was excited to be a part of the Math League competition for the first time. âTo be honest, the questions were pretty hard. I had no idea what types of questions would come out, so yeah, I was really nervous, and excited too at the same time. Iâm so glad that, at the end of the day, I got to qualify somehow.
