MIAMI (AP) The CONCACAF Champions League will expand from 16 teams to 50 in 2023-24, restore its group stage, switch to a regionalized first-round alignment and fill 11 of 16 berths in the knockout stage from North America.
The championship match will switch to a single knockout from a two-leg, home-and-home format.

The nine-time African champions are set to take on local team Al Duhail tomorrow at the Education City Stadium, with the winning team progressing to take on German team FC Bayern Munich in the semi-finals.
Bayern Munich won the 2020 UEFA Champions League and boast players such as Poland s Robert Lewandowski, who was named FIFA s Best Men s Player of the Year in December.

Ulsan to face Mexican club to kick off FIFA Club World Cup

SEOUL, Jan. 20 (Yonhap) The reigning Asian club champions Ulsan Hyundai FC will take on a Mexican opponent to kick off the FIFA Club World Cup next month in Qatar.
The draw for the international tournament took place at FIFA headquarters in Zurich on Tuesday afternoon (local time).
Ulsan, who won the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League title in December, will face Tigres UANL, on Feb. 4 in the second round. The Mexican club won the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) Champions League.

The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) has confirmed its men s Olympic qualifying tournament will take place in Mexico in March.
The event, which offers the final two berths in the Olympic football competition at this year s rearranged Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, had originally been scheduled for March last year before being postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Guadalajara in Mexico will remain as the host city for the tournament, set to run from March 18 to 30.
Mexico, United States, Costa Rica and Dominican Republic have been drawn in Group A, while Group B features Honduras, Canada, El Salvador and Haiti.
