USING room lights on different floors, this is the moment London hotels officially declared themselves ‘OPEN’ for all guests again.
As the capital – and the country – begins to get back to normal life, Crowne Plaza London – Docklands and Holiday Inn Kensington Forum celebrated being open for non-essential guests again from Monday.

And four in five feel it’s important to get to know the local community when visiting somewhere new.
Half of those will go on educational or cultural sightseeing, while 16 percent of 18-24-year-olds have got involved in community projects, including volunteering.
A further 77 percent of travellers support local eateries, 73 percent shop locally and 59 percent speak with the residents of the country they are visiting.
The research commissioned by IHG Hotels & Resorts showed that three-quarters of Gen Z also feel it’s important that where they stay is green and ethical – but just 64 percent of those aged 55 and over feel the same.

Many business travellers are missing having a comfortable bed to sleep in
A new survey has found that constant Zoom meetings and remote working is having a demotivating effect on business travellers.
The survey of 2,000 UK travellers for IHG Hotels and Resorts found that 30 per cent say they are feeling demotivated by the lack of travel while 38 per cent said business travel improves their overall mood and makes them more motivated.
Almost half (48 per cent) said business travel allowed them to create more meaningful relationships with colleagues, customers and clients. Some 40 per cent of those surveyed said they miss face-to-face meetings while a quarter said business travel helps them work smarter.

InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has signed its first luxury hotel in Mallorca, under the Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants brand.
When it opens in 2022, Kimpton Mallorca will further expand the IHG presence in Spain, following the launch of Kimpton Vividora Hotel in Barcelona earlier this year.
The hotel will operate under a management agreement with Calvia Country Club.
The 79-room luxury boutique hotel will be nestled next to one of the island’s most renowned golf courses, Santa Ponsa Golf, on the site of the existing Santa Ponsa Country Club.
The site will undergo a major refurbishment and extension to bring Kimpton’s inspired design to life against the backdrop of hills and treelined lanes that criss-cross the south-west of the island.
