A boy from Ohio died after he became trapped between an elevator car and the elevator shaft inside a vacation rental home on North Carolina’s Outer Banks, emergency workers said. Currituck Fire-EMS Chief Ralph Melton said emergency workers were sent Sunday evening to a home in Corolla and arrived to find a 7-year-old boy without a pulse and trapped by the elevator, news outlets reported. COROLLA, N.C. –  A 7-year-old Canton boy died during a vacation home elevator mishap Sunday, Currituck Fire-EMS Chief Ralph Melton said. According to Melton, emergency responders arrived to the vacation home on Sunday and found the boy unresponsive trapped between the elevator car and elevator shaft. Emergency workers recovered the boy, who did not have a pulse, and were unable to resuscitate him. No other details were available. Check back for updates.
