Way Too Early Initial 53 Man Roster Predictions By Kyle Swagger on May 12, 2021, 9:59am EDT +
Quarterbacks - Carson Wentz, Jacob Eason
This one seems pretty easy unless they decide to bring in a veteran backup at the last minute.
Running Backs - Jonathan Taylor, Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, Deon Jackson
Taylor and Hines are locks and Mack should be as well unless his Achilles injury makes him completely lose his explosiveness. Jordan Wilkins is probably more likely to end up RB4 but since this is last year under contract I think the colts might move on if Jackson can hold his own on special teams.
A Bright Future @ Safety? A Look at Our Safety Room Currently By BertAlert! on May 10, 2021, 2:18pm EDT +
As of May 10th 2021 this is the CURRENT Colts Safety Roster (Avg, Age:25.1)
This is the final positions group. I see this group as solid with a big future. We have a good young pairing of Willis and Blackmon. Blackmon tailed off a little at the end of the season, but as being a rookie coming back from a serious injury it was a very good season. I think he will improve greatly in season 2. Willis has been a very successful draft pick who has produced a good starting safety. Neither had an amazing season, but it is not a weakness for the Colts either. I think we see a better season from both of them. Hooker is gone and we have 2 Sean/Shawn Davis s ? who will be providing a good bit of the depth. I like what our rookie has to offer as a backup to Willis in my opinion. He is a heavy hitter and does well with the run. Nelson has been with our reserves and Odum is a
Grading the Colts’ 2021 NFL Draft Class

Grades might be useless right after the draft, but it’s still worthwhile to analyze whether the Colts filled their needs and got good value, so here’s the report card:
1st Round - 21st Overall
Kwity Paye - Defensive End - Michigan
So much about draft picks developing is about their team fit and environment and Paye is coming to a system that fits him well (with his hand in the dirt) and has a tremendous environment and talent around him. He doesn’t have to be the hero from day 1 and that’s hugely important because he won’t be a superstar early on.
Colts Reportedly Work Out Former 49ers Hybrid Safety Evan Foster
According to NFL Beat Writer
Former 49ers S/LB Andrew Evan Foster worked out for the Colts today, per a source. Aaron Wilson (@AaronWilson NFL) May 5, 2021
Foster was signed by the 49ers in mid-August of 2020, but he was later waived as part of the team’s final 53-man roster cuts just a few weeks later in early September.
The 6’0”, 215 pound hybrid safety was a 3-year starter for the Syracuse Orange (2017-19), recording 232 tackles (139 solo), 2.0 tackles for loss, a sack, 4 passes defensed, and 2 fumble recoveries during 37 starts collegiately.
For what it’s worth, the Colts’ safety room is pretty crowded already with
